Biography

Oklahoma State senior linebacker Caleb Lavey served as an anchor for the Cowboys on the field and in the classroom throughout his career at OSU.
 
Lavey, a native of Celina, Texas, held a degree in Finance as a senior for the Cowboys and went on to pursue an MBA at Oklahoma State while holding an overall GPA of 3.37.
 
He was honored for his work in the classroom on numerous occasions during his time at Oklahoma State, and was selected as part of the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America Division I football team. Lavey also was an Academic All-Big 12 team selection in his sophomore, junior and senior football seasons.
 
Playing an immensely important role for the Cowboys on the field, Lavey started 38 consecutive games dating back to the first game of 2011. He led the Cowboys in total tackles with 87 and tackles for a loss with 13 as a senior. He ranked second on the team in interceptions with four, and also had 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and a pass breakup.
 
In his final season at OSU, Lavey was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Cowboys’ season-opening win over Mississippi State, where he collected 11 tackles, three tackles for a loss and a half-sack.
